Struts carrying nonuniform axial loads
Method of approximation is given for finding elastic critical load of struts with axial loads that very linearly along their lengths, using existing tables and additional table of stability functions; method applies to isolated struts, struts continuous through several supports, or complete frameworks containing struts with nonuniform axial loads; good agreement was found between approximation and calculations performed on computer.
