Outstanding disadvantage of these explosives is high inflammability; effects produced by fire retardant treatments of carbonaceous absorbent and of canvas wrappers were investigated separately; also efficacy of combinations of these treatments, with particular reference to possibility of inflammation and to development of detonation from inflammation.
