Resistance of concrete surfaces to scaling by de-icing agents
Tests by Bur Pub Roads to investigate materials and procedures for protecting concrete pavements against scaling and disintegration caused by use of calcium chloride as thawing agent for ice removal; outdoor tests were carried out by exposing concrete slabs for 3 winters through 154 cycles of freezing and thawing.
