Study of measurement of shear strength of rocks
Shear strength is measured by nominal stress (P:A), where P is shearing force and A is area of shear plane, or it is measured by calculation of stresses acting on plane of shear fracture; double shear test was carried out for first method; Mohr's construction method, in which shear strength would be found from intersection of Tau-axis and Mohr's envelope, was carried out for second method; measurements and interpretation of results.
