Current methods of driving concrete piles at lake Maracaibo
On water location of Lago Petroleum Corp, solid concrete piles have been used successfully in depths as great as 60 ft, piles being as long as 133 ft; to overcome conditions found in deep water, tubular or caisson type of pile was developed; hollow caisson-type piles 60 in. in diameter, driven by 200-ton deadweight, have safety factor of 2.
