Field testing of explosive-anchored rockbolt
Explosive-anchored rock bolt was field tested in six mines where rock conditions varied widely; 14-in. length beaded explosive charge was suitable, in general, in relatively weak strata, and length can be reduced in more competent strata; in preliminary tests, properly coupled explosive-anchored bolts did not ignite explosive gas mixture; effect of explosive-anchored rock bolt on surrounding rock; effect of time on anchored bolts based on torque tests.
