Cathodic protection for offshore structure
Description of graphite anode cathodic protection system installed on large offshore structure for mining of sulfur; graphite anodes in groundbeds had impressed current from rectifiers; this system proved inadequate because of damage from boat anchors, extensive fishing in area, and hurricanes; lead alloy anodes replacing graphite were suspended from structure so that they could be pulled up during bad weather.
