Cathodic protection goes offshore
Design of structures has become more exact, as data and experience have been gathered on offshore conditions; corrosion is major problem; experimental and practical applications have demonstrated that properly installed cathodic protection can practically eliminate corrosion on submerged steel piling in seawater. (see also Corrosion v 6 n 7 July 1950 p 216-24)
