Prestressed glued joints (VK-joints), further development of steel-joining technique
Results of static and dynamic tests of joints combining high-strength prestressed bolts and plastic resin glues are presented; formulation is given for polyester-based glue filled with corundum; joining method and its application in construction of several steel bridges is described; technique shows considerable advantages over conventional bolted joints.
