Construction aspects of service road built on corduroy over muskeg
Corduroy mat composed of logs covered by small trees and branches specified as foundation over muskeg to support embankment of 3 ft in height was successful; much of settlement observed occurred during construction period; careful measurements indicated that existence of road did not significantly affect water table and natural drainage of muskeg.
