Fundamental procedure for design of flexible pavements
Road is treated as three-layer structure; curves give flexible pavement designs in which vertical compressive strain on top of subgrade and tensile strain at underside asphalt layer are taken into account; two strains identified as critical for pavement failure do not exceed their permissible values during design life of pavement; design life is expressed as number of application of equivalent 10-ton axle load.
