New passenger quay and maritime station at Port of Cherbourg
Brief history of port and improvements; latest extension includes continuous deep-water quay of solid masonry and second mole completing basin, termed Darse Transatlantique; with length of 620 m and width of 230 m, it presents form of parallelogram having area of 35 acres and aggregate length of quayage in deep water of 1482 m.
