Holding-down power of concrete piles
Results of field tests made at Columbus, Ohio, on square precast piles with parallel sides to determine holding-down power of precast, reinforced-concrete piles, so that comparison of costs could be made between two designs for storm stand-by tanks, one with heavy concrete bottom and other with lighter reinforced-concrete bottom held down by piles.
