Explanation of thermal expansion properties of highly fired clay wares
Pure clays fired at 1300 to 1400 C for 1 hr show decided irregularity at 200 C in temperature-expansion relation and consequently high expansion above 200 C, while those treated at 1500 C for 1 hr show low expansion and smooth temperature-expansion relation. (See also brief English abstract in supp binding of same issues p 169B-70B and p 308B-9B)
