Structural design of corrugated distillation vessel
Externally loaded pressure vessel of selected cross-sectional geometry functionally suited to multistage flash seawater distillation process is described; use of corrugated walls provides structural rigidity and absorbs thermal expansion internally by flexing of corrugations; basis for structural analysis and stability of orthotropic shell is presented.
