Precast columns, compression and tension rings, radial cables, and steel roof deck only 3/16 in. thick, combine to produce lightweight, economical roof over two tennis courts for Vienna, Austria, athletic club; steel roof was sandblasted before 1 1/4-in. layer of polyurethane insulation was foamed onto cleaned surface; glass-fiber mat, placed atop polyurethane insulation, serves as leveling base for roofing.
