Load-deflection characteristics of soil-cement pavements
Results of study carried out to develop relationship between load and deflection for soil-cement; equation was derived which predicts load capacity as function of deflection, thickness of soil-cement, radius of bearing area, and modulus of subgrade reaction; comparison between load capacity of soil-cement and high-quality granular material indicated that if deflections were maintained equal, capacity of soil-cement was 1.5 times greater for 4-in. and 3.3 times greater for 10-in. base thicknesses.
