Structural design of soil-cement pavements
Design requirements for soil-cement courses in highway pavements are discussed; while recommending use of unconfined compression test or triaxial test for evaluation of soil-cement in preference to California bearing ratio (CBR) test, procedure is suggested to relate these values with overall CBR design by making use of empirical relationship between CBR and theoretical maximum shearing stress induced in road crust.
