Procedure to predict maintenance costs for highway systems
Research was carried out to develop procedure to predict and to evaluate many characteristics involved in total maintenance costs for concrete roadways in south Louisiana; technique used to arrive at predictor model was Weighted Regression Analysis Program, which performs regression for all variables and then eliminates variables, one at a time, in descend-ing order of their significance; from this model, computer program was derived which could be used to predict either total maintenance costs or total cost for any given maintenance activity.
