Resistance to impact of rail steels at elevated temperatures
Charpy impact tests made in temperature range 20 to 700 C on V-notch specimens cut transversely and longitudinally from medium manganese rail, and on longitudinal specimens cut from two standard rails, one cooled normally and other cooled slowly after leaving hot saw; materials tested, procedure and results. (See also Am Inst Min and Met Engrs -- Advance Paper mtg Feb 1932 10 p)
