Group action of friction piles in cohesive soils
It is shown that for square arrangement of piles when number of piles in row (column) is equal to twice value of clear spacing in terms of diameter of pile plus one, or for rectangular arrangement of piles when number of piles in row is equal to twice value of clear spacing in terms of diameter of pile, group-strength becomes equal to summation of individual strength of piles in group.
