Effect of viscosity on vortex-orifice flow
Work of R.C.Kolf and author of paper, which dealt with water, has been extended at University of Wisconsin using oils having wide range of viscosity; 6-ft-diam tank was fitted at bottom with five sharp-edged orifices from 2 to 6 in. in diam and operated on head range of 0.3 to 2.0 ft and appropriate range of circulation and discharge rate; analysis of test results concerning effects of viscosity.
