Now, meaningful specification on corrosion resistant fasteners of stainless steel and non-ferrous alloys
New specification IFI-104, issued by Industrial Fasteners Institute, covers mechanical, metallurgical, and quality requirements for 11 grades of stainless steel and 18 grades of nonferrous alloy (copper, nickel and aluminum alloys) bolts, screws, studs, and nuts in sizes up to and including 1 1/2 in.; development of IFI-104 is described; this is believed to be first time that any document covering such wide range of alloys has been published.
