Axisymmetric apex loadings on conical shells
Solutions to Love-Meissner equations of thin conical shell of constant wall thickness are obtained in terms of generalized hypergeometric series; singularities in displacements and stress resultants due to concentrated force and due to hot spots are compared with those resulting from similar loadings on flat plate and shallow dome with several differences being noted.
