Mechanical behaviour of Kurobe IV dam and its foundation -- Especially difference from result of calculation
After completion of Kurobe IV dam, raising of reservoir water level is limited to 10 m/yr; mechanical behavior of dam and its foundation under gradually increasing load are being carefully observedby many measuring devices; field data, thus obtained, on stress and displacement of arch and deformation of rock mass are compared with results of calculation, and causes of difference are described.
