Cast-in-place concrete residences with insulated walls -- Influence of shear connectors on flexural resistance
Report supplements previously reported work on cast-in-place residential walls; study of flexural resistance of cast-in-place insulated walls is described; three types of metal shear connectors between concrete face shells were included, and in one insulated wall shear connectors were omitted; moment capacity of all insulated walls was about 65% of that for companion solid wall; this flexural capacity is considered satisfactory for conditions usually encountered in residential construction.
