Sand replacement in structural lightweight concrete -- Sintering grate aggregates
Effects of replacing fines of three structural light weight aggregates with equal volumes of natural sand; investigation continues previous work and extends test data to broaden information about aggregates produced on sintering grate; results illustrate improvements in both plastic and hardened concretes; required water and cement contents decreased with increasing natural sand content; physical properties of hardened concretes were significantly improved, though unit weights were increased moderately.
