Express highway bridge over Siegtal valley at Siegen-Eiserfeld
1050 m long, 30.5 m wide curved prestressed concrete bridge has 12 spans ranging from 63 m to 105 m; superstructure consists of two box girders separated by longitudinal joint and supported by 20.7 m wide box-type piers of 100 m maximum height; starting simultaneously from two consecutive piers, spans were concreted in 10 m sections using movable steel trestle extending over piers, and carrying two suspended sliding work platforms; structural details of sub- and superstructure, description of prestressing method.
