Epoxy protective coating checks bridge deck deterioration
To prevent further deterioration of bridge deck, opened to traffic in 1932, epoxy protective coating was applied; Resiweld Guardkote, produced and marketed by H.B.Fuller Co, was used; coating was applied over pavement at rate of 3 lb/sq yd with capacity of 22 lb/min and in thickness of 1/16 in.
