Modulus of rupture was studied as function of water-air-cement ratio; study was made on 21 different concrete mixes, in which aggregates, consistence, and air content were varied; test specimens consisted of beams, 10×15×80 cm in size, which were cured for 1 day in molds in fog room, and were then stored for 27 days in water; temperature was 20 plus or minus 2 C; tests showed existence of linear relation between modulus of rupture and reciprocal value of water-air-cement ratio; results of tests are summarized in two regression equations -- for concrete made with gravel and for concrete made with crushed stone.
