Description of investigation of sediment motion in Bangkok Harbor, Thailand; observations included topography, river regimen, and conditions at sea; transport patterns of sediment were determined, as well as salinity and density effects; special aspects considered were flocculation, soft silt, flows and silt transport, erosion and deposition; total study finally resulted in recommendations on depth, width and alignment of channel with regard to navigation and maintenance dredging, on relocation of dumping area for dredged material and on dredging techniques in port as well as in access-channel.
