A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
Properties of areas of greatest importance in structural engineering are determined from coordinates of points on boundary; set of formulas is derived for area's properties with respect to arbitrary set of axes; these formulas are then used to determine characteristics with respect to centroidal and principal axes; method is readily adapted to use in conjunction with electronic computer.
