Positive calculation of area by coordinates
Area enclosed by multisided polygon can be determined once coordinates of polygon points are known; by use of Green's theorem method is obtained which results in formula for area calculation by coordinates that always results in positive value for area; most surveying texts give formulas that results in negative value for area; rules are given that assure positive-valued area.
