Wave propagation in elastic plastic solids
Similarity solutions for wave propagation in elastic-plastic solid are obtained for cases having cylindrical and spherical symmetry; waves are induced by expanding core of constant pressure; yield criteria of von Mises and Tresca are assumed; three types of wave structure are found to be possible, each of which is exhibited in numerical solutions for aluminum medium.
