Establishing setback lines for effective and economical street widening
Five methods of providing streets of proper width are discussed; platting, restricted building lines imposed either voluntarily or in deeds, widening of present streets by condemnation proceedings under power of eminent domain, establishing of setbacks by legislature under same power, and establishment of setbacks by legislature under exercise of police power.
