Why concrete for highways should be tested for its beam strength
Author reports tests which show that concrete having high beam strength will also have sufficiently high compressive strength but that converse is not always true; therefore in testing concrete for road construction it is necessary to determine its beam strength, independently, and design concrete mix and roadbed in accordance with this determination.
