Flood formulas based on drainage basin characteristics
Formulas are developed from stream flow records of Massachusetts streams, for which fairly complete data are available; formulas define magnitude of flood peaks having probable recurrence intervals of 15, 100, and 1000 yr, and maximum possible flood. (See also - discussions, n 3 Mar 1944 p 267-94, n 6 June p 903-8, n 7 Sept p 1199-1205, n 8 Oct p 1337-41)
