Wharf is carried on reinforced concrete piles, spaced 12 ft. longitudinally and 10 ft. transversely; wharf forms extension of Norway Wharf used by Bergen and Newcastle steamers; feature of construction was large amount of pre-cast work introduced in form of wallings and braces.
