Ultimate strength analysis of long hinged reinforced concrete columns
Treatment of concentrically loaded columns is based on Engesser's tangent modulus formula and of eccentrically loaded columns on principles advanced by Karman; both analyses utilize stress-strain relationship for concrete and are compared with test results of six experimental investigations carried out in past.
