Calumet River lock, Calumet-Sag Project, Illinois
New Calumet River Navigation Lock will involve departures from usual design in that lock walls and guide walls will be of steel sheet piling construction, with concrete construction being more or less limited to gate blocks; lock gates will be of sector type, with total span of 110 ft; remaining channel width closed by dam provided with sluice gates.
