A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
Classification of rocks according to their rheological behavior; classification is based on large number of compressive uniaxial triaxial tests concerning various rocks, and on simultaneous analysis of longitudinal and transverse deformations of rocks; rheological types are distinguished as brittle elastic rocks. "viscoelastic" rocks with contraction and viscoplastic rocks; problem of deferred failure for viscoplastic rocks is discussed.
