Direct determination of slip surface and minimum stability coefficient of homogeneous and inhomogeneous embankments; classical Fellenius method of slope stability calculation is improved by introducing safety factors by which all technical properties of material should be reduced and which are expressed in terms of mean and maximum errors of series of measurements of material properties (cohesion, shear angle, specific weight, and pore water tension coefficient); ALGOL program is given for calculation of earth dam stability.
