Shearing strains in addition to normal strains appear when plastic hinges of yield lines exist as in case of brittle plastic core with perfectly plastic reinforcement (reinforced concrete); relationship between resulting stresses when cross section of shell becomes plastic is investigated and yield locus at plastic hinges is determined using collapsing pattern; energy dissipation at collapse leads to determination of load carrying capacity of structure.
