Elastic wave velocity survey at Tokuyama dam, Ibi river system, Gifu prefecture
Three-dimensional distributions of elastic wave velocity within foundation rock were obtained at Tokuyama dam by mean velocity method; bed rock is composed of Paleozoic chert and schalstein; velocity values are comparatively small; there is large difference between field velocity and sample velocity; velocity increases with depth; engineering significance of velocity values and velocity distributions.
