Construction of cantilevered postal conveyor bridge in Hagen
Construction of new post office near railroad station necessitated erection of mail and parcel post conveyor bridge for handling of 200,000 parcels/day; 186 m long continuous box girder bridge is 14 m above railroad yard; two bridge sections rest on A-shaped, hinged center support 56.5° skew to bridge axle and parallel to rails to avoid obstruction of signals; construction was carried out without interference to railroad operation; design of girders and conveying apparatus.
