Folded plate slabs, precast on their companion pieces, span more than 75 ft in Cuban plant; project consists of 12 buildings; main building is one story split level structure; roof design was selected for esthetic reasons, in order to provide sun shading by cantilevering roof slab, for acoustical reasons, for better rain water conduction, and for elimination of cracks by allowing expansion due to temperature changes.
