Many-sided reservoir simplifies formwork
In order to simplify formwork and thus speed construction, two 140-ft diam reinforced concrete water reservoirs for Midwest plant were built not circular but with 46 sides each about 10 ft long; in addition to simplifying wormwork, this type of construction permitted use of forms with few alternations for other purposes at later date.
