Preliminary report by Coal Division Committee on Roof Action; account of actual roof sealing project; no conclusions on final result can yet be formed; report is presented to encourage scientific approach to problem, sealing material is asphalt paint with high percentage of gilsonite and micalite filler; this is applied by spraying at about 70 lb pressure per sq in. and resulting covering, about 1/16 in. thick, hardens in relatively short time.
