Analytical formulas forecasting subsidence areas are derived from theory of strength of materials, elasto-mechanics, plasto-mechanics or from theory of mechanics of loose media; mathematical models of stresses and deformation characteristics of rock are very approximate because of heterogeneity and tectonics of rock masses as well as of their changeable rheological properties. (received July 1965) (see also English translation in Min and Met Quarterly n 4 1963 p 19-33,)
