Bridge across valley of Alzette River comprises two stiffened box girders interconnected by orthotropic deck plate, with cantilevered footways; overall length is 355 m; span measured between bases of inclined struts is 234.10 m; height above valley is 85 m; bridge deck comprises two 2.15 m wide footways, 1.5 m wide divider, and two 9.6 m wide carriageways; bridge design, materials, and execution are described; of special interest is use of so-called "Panzerstahl" for roller bearings at abutment, and forged steel units at intersections of inclined struts and main girder flanges.
